Uganda’s tourism industry is doing great, with well over 600,000 visitors per year, of which 100,000 visit protected areas. According to Mr. Moses Mapesa, the Executive Director of Uganda Wildlife Authority.
Mapesa spoke recently at the Protea Hotel Kampala while having a business breakfast stating that the tourism sector is doing well, boosting Uganda’s economic growth through infrastructure development, employment opportunities, foreign exchange and increase revenue at household levels.

Investors are being wooed and being invited to increase earning for the tourism sector.
The minister for Tourism, Trade and Industry did say that government will consider giving incentives to the investors for easy investments in future.
